Effective Ways to Memorize and Perform Music Better
Have you played that piece of music at least 100 times and are you still having trouble memorizing it? Finding ways to be efficient in memorizing music has greatly improved my capabilities as a musician. If you follow these steps as a start, you will be on your way to becoming a better musician.
I have used both of these techniques successfully in marching band as well as for learning bagpipe music. These techniques can be used for music of any type. Pipers will find that the second technique is especially useful in trying to memorize bagpipe music due to its almost excessively repetitious nature.
